Investment Opportunity, Private Island
Located 19 miles east of Placencia, Belize, Gladden Caye is located directly behind the Great Barrier Reef. The island is located only minutes away from the world famous Gladden Spit, a promontory with 250-meter depth that is world-famous for whale shark congregation. The entire 26,000 acres surrounding Gladden Caye is a protected marine preserve. There is world class snorkeling directly off the island and in surrounding areas. The views around the island are completely unobstructed, with a close-up of the waves crashing against the Barrier Reef. It’s as if the reef is protecting you from the ocean. There are no other islands with buildings in site!
NO MATTER HOW FAR YOU CAST YOUR GAZE, YOU WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER GUEST.
Gladden Caye Private Island contains a single modern-Mayan-style villa for just one couple on the main island, with housing for staff on the smaller island. All support structures on the smaller island are hidden from sightlines of the main house, and there are no neighbors to be seen in any direction, so you can focus solely on the astonishing views. The chef, manager, and concierge are a two-minute boat ride away when signaled, but otherwise completely out of view the rest of the time. The island even contains a “privacy meter” to indicate whether you are alone or if a member of the staff is visiting the island for any reason.
From the developers of Little Harvest Caye and The Enclave at Placencia Caye, Gladden Caye is the most private island resort experience in the world. Not only did we create the perfect fusion of privacy and full service, but we also took the label “all-inclusive” to a new level. Meals are prepared by a rotating group of visiting chefs from renowned restaurants and accompanied by a sommelier-curated wine collection. The on-site concierge will arrange everything from spa treatments to snorkeling and scuba diving, including scuba certification and trips to see the whale sharks that congregate in the protected marine reserve. Guests travel to the island via helicopter flight from Belize City, giving you a chance to experience the amazing aerial views of the island and surrounding barrier reef.
